Sydney Royal Easter Show

Today I went to the Sydney Royal Easter Show with my school. The day was really long so this post will probably be really long so I will try not to ramble.

The morning started with me freaking out over forgetting to buy a train ticket. Turned out you didn need one but I had already called a friend and she bought one for me from her station. She's really smart and helpful when it comes to times like this so I'm really grateful. Thanks JG!

Had a nice chat with some friends (or just schoolmates?) on the train. After arriving and roll call we were allowed to go explore the show ourselves so we wondered around looking at everything. Then we hanged out with animals. The smell was unbelievable, and I don't mean that in a good way. But the sheep and goats were so cute and we got to feed them and pat them. The chickens were pretty unfriendly. One nearly pecked a hole through my hand when I tried to feed it goat food. There were also pigs. They were so big and all sleeping and it really reminded me of 'Animal Farm'. I also saw a camel. Its bump was really weird. It was really high up and looked like an 'apple' that grew at the wrong place (the bump you find on men's throats).

Everyone was really hungry by now so we hunted for food for a really long time. There was so much food and they were all junky which is what I like but most of my friends are very healthy. I ended up eating my lunch from home which were some chicken nuggets and shared a 'hot dog on stick' with a friend. It's a sausage with pastry wrapped around it. I made sure I was as Asian as possible and squeezed on top every type of sauce I could find - tomato, barbeque and a LOT of mustard, just because I have tried it before. The mustard was really salty but the thing was really nice. Then I was still hungry so I scavenged some food off other people and filled my belly up with chips, Oreos, chilly chicken, spring rolls, dim sum and coke. Yeah I know, that's a lot of stuff.

Next we looked through artworks and pieces people have entered for the Easter Show that won prizes and were on display. Gosh they were amazing. There's no explanation needed, just have a look yourself.

Some amazing textiles pieces
Yes, that is all made out of cake. Including the flowers and parrot and the 1 metre macaroons
Some of the artworks were extremely to my taste.
Yum!! There was so much food my eyes were bedazzled

Hi JL I found a really funny pic of a lion. Hey Viv I found a pretty hot guy you might be interested in. Yo Vicki here are some licorice you might have liked to try. Oh and that's Vanessa butt which I accidentally took a pic of when I was trying to take a pic of her bag but she suddenly moved so that's what I ended up with ;)
Then we discovered something amazing - food sampling!!! The afternoon was spent walking down gazillion corridors looking and eating the samples. Yum!! Woolworth was the best. They had corn and fish and beef and nuts and yoghurt and ice cream and chips and tea all out for people to eat. I was in heaven :)

I love Woolworths now!
When it was time for roll call again we didn't want to go, so we ended up going back in after exiting the show. I think my textiles teacher hates me now because I was being all whiny when at first she said we couldn't stay :( Then we looked through more aisles of food and artworks, ate some more and went to get out showbags!! Exciting :) I bought the Dolly one and the Gobster one. Then two friends left and two stayed. So the three of us went shopping in this fashion place with all these boutiques. It was really fun :) I might make a video on it.

Then we went back to Woolworth and pretended to be all innocent and ate some more food samples. Hehe. The day then ended win me catching the train back home scavenging through my showbags and a magazine. Now I'm really tired but I still need to finish this and submit an application for this audition I'm doing, which I'll tell you more about later :)
