Party Animal

It was my friend Elizabeth's sweet sixteen party yesterday. BEST PARTY EVER!! I was so sad when I had to leave :( But you know, I didn't want to let my mum freeze in the car. Especially after she picked oranges and lemons for my friend's parents. She's Asian like that.

So let me tell u about the party. I was the third to arrive, after JL and Sheree who went in one car. We explored her house, which was pretty different from what I remember (I've been there in year 7). She had this really cool red sofas which added a great 'pop' of colour in her living room and some great asian decorations going on.

Then more people came so I started snacking from the food table and kept snacking as people set up games. We played Scattergories while waiting for Vanessa. Then she joined me because I sucked so much I had to put Obama for 'things you can find in the desert'. Then we got so much better; in fact our scores doubled each time - 2,4,8 - 14 altogether. Sarah+JG ended up winning the game.

We ordered pizza and Elizabeth's mum also got Turkish pide (which was delicious!!). There was so much food prepared also like chips, fish, etc. Anyways you know how when you go to other people's houses you're meant to be polite and constrict yourself in eating. Well I did the exact opposite. I ate (soorry Elizabeth)...

5 pizzas pieces(had to try every flavour),

2 pides (chicken inside was too yummy to be true; didn't look like this btw)

3 cups of coke (chicken pizza was pretty chilly so I had to cool myself down)

one garlic bread (smelt too nice)

fish schnitzel (thought it was chicken)

and a bunch of chips

We then played Cranium. It was sooo fun!!! It wasn't like a normal board game. We got into groups of 3 by random and I was with Elizabeth and JL. The game had us on our feet and we had to do everything from drawing with our eyes closed to acting out movies to shaping playdough into different objects. But our group also got a lot of boring ones like answering questions or unjumbling words. It was still so fun!! I swear I need to get my hands on that game sometime.

Cranium was so fun that it wasn't until 9:15 when we finally ate the cake and Elizabeth opened her presents. We got her a Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume set with a million samples and a Calvin Klein makeup bag/wallet, a Rimmel bronzer, a really big and long happy birthday marshmallow letter thing, an alarm clock from Typo and a bunch of photoframes with the Olympic ring colours where we put photos which contained precious memories inside. Overall I think we gave her some awesome presents, which are sure to break my wallet. But you know, it's all worth it in the end because I think she liked it.

In summary, such an awesome party. Had heaps of fun. Came home with a party bag too and a kiwi lipsmacker (my first lipsmacker btw). Anyways, happy birthday again Elizabeth! Congrats for turning 16 and you should get your L's soon :)

9 Kpop Stars/Bands I LOVE

Hehe I've changed this question. The original one was '9 Places I want to visit', but I'm not a big geography person and travelling the world seems like a pretty tiring job. So I figured this one is more me :)
First I'll start off with bands. Have to admit I am a bit YG biased :D Just warning you.
9) T-ara

I love their music! Especially because they have kind of ballad-like songs instead of those cutsey type. I really don't like those music videos where everyone is just pretending to be cute... Got to know them through Eunjung who played a role in Dream High. The MV below is awesome!

8) Psy
This is so random but he is just so funny!! Must watch his latest MV! It's hilarious!!! Not the usual kpop you'd expect.

7) Miss A

Love the music, love the way they dance and sing, love their all songs. Pure awesomeness~!

6) Se7en

Usually I don't like solo artists but this guy is just too funny to pass. You should check him out on strong heart. He tells the most awesomest stories!! Also his aegyo with TOP. OMG!! XD And his girlfriend is so pretty. They both star in the mv below :) It kinda depicts their real relationship at one point at one point in their lives, when they were too busy and tired and on the verge of breaking up.

5) JYJ

I prefer DBSK when the five of them was still together but what can i do... Anyways I love JYJ!!

4) 2NE1

Lots of swag, awesome voices.VERY awesome style. Music is very catchy by the way!! And their live performances are awesome because it sounds exactly the same as the recording!  I love you~~~

3) Big Bang

You have to admit they are not the prettiest group of boys but seriously, awesome just purly awesome!! They are hilarious in variety shows, the best at performing, and my favourite kpop band atm. I think you have to really understand the art of kpop to like them though :)

The next two are my ultimate biases Kpop stars as of 25 July 2012 :)

2) Park Bom (2NE1)

Best voice ever! Trust me after you hear you sing you will be drawn in. She 's like a living doll. And she loves to eat! Almost always caught eating on camera :) She's a little chubby sometimes but always so cute! And she has a very funny personality. You will know what I mean if you watched 2NE1 TV Season 2 XD

1) Micky Yoochun (JYJ)

He is my profile picture so yeah of course he is my favourite! The surprising thing is he's been my bias for some months now, which is really surprising because it's usually always changing. Could this be true love? Haha :) I know he's not exactly the best looking guy in the world and I'm not sure about his personality but something about him just draws me to him. Yeah I would love to meet him!!!
A slightly obsessed fan must have made this

Last Day of Freedom

Just finished cooking dinner for the family. Hehe can't believe they trust me with their food. I only trust myself when it comes to eating. :)

Today is the last day of holidays before Term 3 begins. I'm not looking forward to school that much, since during the holidays I kinda slept to much so ill probably sleep through my classes.

On the other hand, I am looking forward to seeing my friends again. I didn't go out much this holidays. Well I did, but not with friends. You see my mum tends to like to ground me for the first two-thirds of the holidays which is when all the fun happens, then when she does let me go out everyone's already tired from going out too much so then I become a loner who shops with herself, which is a what happened today. I bought some cool stuff though :) Gotta love kmart. I got a pushup bra and some shoes which were super cheap.

The only thing I did with some friend was karaoke, which is a habitual thing every holiday. But I think I'm getting sick of it. It's not as fun as before because we keep singing the same songs. Think I need to go with some different people next time.

Yesterday I spent the whole day surfing the internet, updating myself with my friends' blogs and comparing their awesome life with my non-existent one. Sigh...

I cut my mum's hair today, which was actually pretty fun. You must be thinking, wow your mum trusts you with her head? Yeah, because otherwise she would do it herself and believe me it's better when I do it. I also cut my own but it didn't make much of a difference.

So that's that for the last day of the holidays. Tomorrow it will be hello school and goodbye freedom.

Deep deep thoughts

I don't usually share ultra deep thoughts and emotional matters on this blog because those are much more personal and sometimes those things are better to be kept in your own mind. But today i figured I might as well because it is my blog so I should post things I want to post rather than things others want to see. Probably going to regret this soon so let's get it published before I do.

Recently I've had a lot of thought about my relationships, especially my friendships. I don't know if you do this but when I watch Korean reality shows like Full House with SJ or 2NE1 TV, I try to figure out who is best friends with who and those type of things. I also try to figure out (this is kind of mean but) who gets left out the most. Then I kind of relate it to my life and the people around me and what type of roles we each play in our friendship groups.

Kind of unrelated to what I was going to talk about but I've had a lot of thought about what kind of role I play. I think that in the past I have been trying too hard to make other people laugh that I've sometimes forgotten how to have fun myself. This may sound ridiculous but just like what I've told some of my friends, I enjoy making people laugh more than laughing myself. I think most comedians would feel this way. But why do I do this? I realised that the reason is I wanted some particular people to like me better. I really wanted a friend who I could confide in and become friends forever with. But I should have realised ages ago was that I have made a vital mistake. I have placed my love in the wrong people, and ignored those who have always been there. I thought I was happy, but at the end of the day I always have this empty feeling inside me, because I've changed myself for someone who just doesn't and won't ever feel the same.

It sounds like I'm talking about love but really, I'm talking about friendship. I think sometimes friendship can make you cry harder than love.

So from now on, I'm going to hunt for a true friendship. I'm also going to try and find the old me, the person who can be herself and laugh from her heart. It's going to take some time, and I might not be used to it, but i will try.

FashUp Fail

I know I haven't been posting videos on Youtube for a while, so yesterday filmed one. It had such nice lighting, background and everything, but guess what? I forgot to turn the mike on. So basically I filmed a 20 minute silent video...

Kind of very sad because it was a nice video and I made some quirky jokes. Also I filmed it on the balcony for nice lighting. Imagine all the stares I got... :"( It's not really a balcony. It's kinda like indoor veranda if that makes sense.

I'll try to film it again I guess. But since it's a haul I'll wait until I get some more stuff. And I read on one of my friend's blogs that she wants to make Youtube videos. Yes you should!! It would be so fun :)
