I want my life to be a rollercoaster. I want it to be full of up's and down's, very exciting and each day lived to the maximum.
You know when people used to ask you 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' Well recently I've been getting a lot of that, but the only difference is they don't say 'when you grow up' anymore. Because I have already 'grown up'. Yes, without realising, 16 years have flew past, and I am already considered to be an 'adult' by my parents. It's already time to decide on my electives for year 11, my HSC subjects, and my future.
But the truth is, the future seems like a blur. I can't see it, can't touch it, can't even imagine it. Many of my friends have an idea of what they want to do, but I do not. There is no occupation which I really want to do, not the ones that can earn lots of money anyways.
I think I'm more interested in fun jobs. A typical smart Asian would go for doctor or lawyer, but here's what I want to try in life:
ACTRESS
Very unlikely... The most I've gotten so far is a minor doctor role in my friend's school movie project.

| Ivy Chen is a great actress |
VOICE ACTOR
My voice can be manipulated to create many different sounds and characters. But this job earns low income and is very tiring. Also it's hard to even get in since there aren't many needed.

| Mandy Moore's voice is very attractive! |
My mum actually approves of this. But i don't think i really want to do it, it's more like I just want to have a chance to mingle with the celebrities I like... Plus you need high organisation skills, which I lack in.

TEACHER
Probably the most realistic one out of my dream jobs. It would be nice just to live a very simple but fun life teaching kids, having the holidays and spending it with my own family and earning wage that is enough to sustain my living. It's nice to earn money, but i don't really mind if i don't have that much money, I just need enough to look after my family and a little bit left over to spend on yummy food and shopping sprees.
Yeah, so as you can see, my dream jobs are all very unrealistic, except for the last one. By this age I suppose I am supposed to be mature enough to come up with realistic and practical career options such as dentist or lawyer, but I guess I'm just a child trapped inside an old body and a mature face. Aiyah...
